Carmen Perkins, Executive Vice President of CIVITAS Commercial Real Estate Services, LLC, provides finance, operations and business development management for CIVITAS.  Ms. Perkins brings to CIVITAS over 25 years of business experience, including expertise in investment banking, real estate finance, investment management, financial modeling and transaction management.  Prior to CIVITAS, Ms. Perkins served as Executive Vice President of Durham Capital, a New York investment bank.  Specializing in the real estate and energy sectors, Ms. Perkins originated and closed over $4 billion of debt financing transactions while at Durham. Ms. Perkins also has several years of experience in the Mergers and Acquisitions and Investment Management divisions of Goldman Sachs & Co. where she provided investment banking advisory services for public and private companies pursuing cross border M&A transactions. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Ms. Perkins served as a Transfer Pricing Economist in the International Tax practice of Price Waterhouse in New York and Washington, DC.

Ms. Perkins earned an M.B.A. in Finance from Columbia University, a B.A. in Economics from University of Virginia and Series 7 and 63 securities licenses.  Ms. Perkins has a longstanding commitment to education-oriented community impact organizations in Washington, DC and has served on the board of Academic Achievement, on the Finance Committee of St. Patrick’s Episcopal Day School, and leads key strategic Advancement and Development initiatives of the National Cathedral School.
